The pricing for Trust.Zone is incredibly reasonable and is one of the more cheap VPNs I have reviewed in the industry. Their cheapest option is $2.88/month for their 2 year plan, which is way below the industry average. Clearly, they are going for a beginner/budgeting audience. As already noted, Trust.Zone offers a free test drive of their VPN which has almost all the same features as the paid option. However, this only lasts 3 days and is cut off at 1GB of data usage, obviously it’s not good option for Free VPN. As for their other plan, they all offer the same features and you’d be happy to know that no matter which one you choose, you’ll still get all the same features. As with almost all VPNs, the more you commit to their service, the cheaper it is. It is for this reason why Trust.Zone offers a sale on their annual package, which gets you 63% off. Not a bad deal for this VPN. They offer three different packages and they vary in commitment. If you want their cheapest plan, you will have to commit to at least a year with their service. The annual plan is priced at $2.88/month. For their annual option, you’ll have to pay $3.33/month and for their monthly option (which is the most flexible), you’ll have to pay $8.88. Even with the monthly option, it is still drastically cheaper than many big companies.

I loved the payment options offered by Trust.Zone. A good VPN service will always allow its users to pay in all sorts of ways to ensure their privacy and security. A VPN’s job is to make sure you’re safe when you go online, and their payment gateways should reflect that. Trust.Zone offers the standard payment gateways, including PayPal and credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express).
They also offer a range of alternative payments, including Bitcoin. In fact, although Bitcoin is fantastic to see anyway, they actually give you a discount if you use this gateway. This was amazing to see. Not only do they allow you to pay with more anonymity, they also urge you too. What this told me was that Trust.Zone really cares about your privacy and want to protect you in every way possible.
Setup and User-Friendliness
Setting up and downloading the VPN was easy and took just over 5 minutes. I had to create an account and then download the VPN from the options given to me. The website actually auto-detects the software you’re using and recommends a client accordingly. I was using Windows, so Trust.Zone told me what I need to download. Once I made my way through the installation wizard and all that, I was greeted with the client’s initial connection screen. No login details were required because the client operates directly off your account. This allows you to download the free test but not to abuse it and use their VPN for free.
The client’s initial screen reminded me of ExpressVPN. They have a big Trust.Zone logo in the middle which connects to the VPN when you click it. You have to select your locations via the bottom-left tab. Here, you will also see your download and upload speeds, which is really helpful. The main screen also tells you your IP address.
As for the settings, you can change a fair bit. They aren’t as advanced as some other VPNs I have come across, but the client offers some good customizations. In the settings tab, you can select your port with OpenVPN being best and you can also activate your kill switch and DNS leak prevention. There is also a tab that shows you what port you’re using and all your speeds, which can be very handy. I actually had some connection problems at the start and I still do now. For some reason, when I started the VPN, my internet stopped working. This meant that there was nothing for the VPN to connect to, which was frustrating. However, I later realized it’s because the VPN has a kill switch and when it is not activated, my internet would not work. Sorry for being an idiot!
Locations and Speed
A good VPN will have to have a lot of servers and locations in order to work for the individuals who want to torrent and stream on their service. Trust.Zone offer an impressive number of servers considering it is a smaller network. They have 100+ servers and offer 32 different locations (on their premium plan).
The majority of the servers are in the states, so connecting to American Netflix might be a possibility. As for torrenting and P2P, Trust.Zone allows it and so you will have no problem using this service to download and upload files. You get unlimited bandwidth and speeds on all their paid subscriptions.
Compatibility
Trust.Zone allows you to connect multiple devices to one account, which is great when you’re trying to secure all your devices. They allow for 5 simultaneous connections, which is plenty for most individuals. They allow for a range of software, including Windows, Mac, IOS, and Android. They also allow for Linux, gaming consoles, and SmartTV. On the setup page, they also have all the files and configurations for the individuals who want to set up the VPN manually.
Customer Support
Trust.Zone, unfortunately, doesn’t offer 24/7 support unlike many other VPNs and their customer support is lacking significantly. Security and Privacy
Security and privacy are the main part of a VPN and this is the part that most people are interested in. Trust.Zone passes all our tests and offers some excellent encryptions and protocols. The one thing I noticed with Trust.Zone is they do not offer a wide selection of security protocols. In fact, they only really offer OpenVPN, which is the best and most security protocols available, so this didn’t bother me too much. The only issue here is for people with bad connections because OpenVPN can slow down your speeds. They do also offer https and HTTP encryptions. Because OpenVPN is really the only protocol you’ll be using, Trust.Zone offers a 256-bit encryption which is currently the strongest in the industry. This will stop anyone from accessing your traffic. They also use SHA256 for authentication and RSA-2048 for handshaking. This would be improved with RSA-4096, but this is not a big issue. As for logs, Trust.Zone is excellent as it is based in a non-hostile country with no privacy laws and they don’t keep logs anyway. This means that even the more private of you will be able to use Trust.Zones service.

As already stated, Trust.Zone offers a free VPN test for all users with the creation of an account. This lasts for 3 days and gives you access to almost all the features that you’ll get with a standard paid account. However, you can only use this for 1GB of data. Once this is up, you cannot keep using it and will have to upgrade. This is to stop individuals from torrenting or streaming on the free service. Even if you decide to upgrade, there is a 10-day money-back guarantee that you can use if you’re not satisfied with the service provided.

Trust.Zone is an excellent VPN that is fairly underrated in the industry. They offer very cheap plans if you’re on a budget and offer a wide range of features. They allow you to use 160+ servers in 34 different countries, which will be plenty for most people. They also offer some great security features, only offering OpenVPN and 256-bit encryptions, which are sure to keep you safe when you’re online. They also offer DNS protection and a kill switch. The only main issue with the service is their refund policy is only valid up to 1GB of data. If you go over you will not be entitled a refund. Overall, this is a VPN I would recommend to everyone who is looking for a cheap service.
